IntelliDigest, an England-based company, is looking to change how we manage our food waste in all areas of the supply chain. They have created a machine, iDegest, that acts as an onsite food waste processor. The machine is able to break down food waste in 3 or fewer hours and creates a by-product very similar to fertilizer. The odorless by-product can be used instead of fertilizer. Along with the iDegest, there is an app that can give more information on the food waste that is being converted to fertilizer.
