A nation-wide survey has revealed the average household wastes 6.2 cups of food per week, which is 322 cups a year. The survey also found that the price of food is a top issue among consumers, yet 49% of them underestimate how much they can save on average by reducing their waste through composting or having the correct education about food labels.
