The World Series in Phoenix, Arizona created a chance at a large amount of food waste. Waste Not, a non-profit in Phoenix, took it upon itself to give the excess food to people in need. After Waste Not picked up the food from concession stands in Diamondback’s stadium they transported the food to other non-profits that could distribute the food to other people in need. Waste Not also has done this in the past, with the Super Bowl between the Cheifs and Eagles they helped the valley area be fed. If any excess stadium food is available in the Phoenix area Waste Not will be there to help transport the food.
