Despite having no experience in making an app, she was able to successfully launch the app, which now has over 100 million users in 19 countries. The app connects businesses with surplus food to customers at discounted prices, reducing food waste and helping the environment with issues like greenhouse gas emissions. It tackles food waste at the retail levelĀ but not waste that happens earlier on, which is a significant part of the problem. Nonetheless, it is a great idea to combat food waste.
