At the annual COP28 environmental conference in Dubai, climate advocacy groups were pressuring world governments to commit to cutting global food sector emissions. This follows the conference host promising to put agriculture in the spotlight. The global food system, which includes farming, land use, livestock production, energy used for farm and food retail, and household food consumption and waste, accounts fro 31& of human made greenhouse gas emissions.
