Two restaurant owners in Miami, Florida created an app dedicated to reducing food waste after realizing how much food waste they created daily. With their new app, Lovvett, local businesses can turn excess food into revenue and consumers can buy food at a discount. The app brings consumers deals that offer up to 50% off of the retail price  Restaurants that join the app are not only helping save the environment and reduce carbon emissions but are also taking part in the fight to reduce food waste. The app currently features 150 Miami restaurants and is continuing to grow with plans to expand out of southern Florida.
