The “Save More Than Food” initiative, was designed to help Franklin County, Ohio homes, schools, and businesses to reduce food waste. The overall goal was to cut food waste in half by 2030. This initiative is a example of a local collaboration within the community to promote and develop ways to prevent food waste. The significance of this initiative will allow for more ways to reuse packaging, use more edible food, and use new technologies to help prevent food waste.
