As prices rise, millions of people struggle with food poverty in Asia. A new initiative in Thailand is on a mission to change this and it’s called the VV Share foundation! They are a group that rescues edible food that would have otherwise been thrown away and gives it to children, the elderly, and vulnerable families.
This foundation is being recognized by both the nation and churches around the country, because they are “turning waste into an act of solidarity and hope.” Those aware of the initiative say that the foundations work “beyond addressing physical hunger, offering dignity, inclusion, and reassurance to people who often feel forgotten by society.”
Food is a necessity, and this group is doing tremendous work to help the community- not only focusing on eliminating food waste, but also by sharing the values of dignity and hope within children. The VV Share foundation works closely with “Father Ray Children’s Village” ; it “provides family-style homes for young children in need of care.” The joy on the children’s faces when they receive supplements is powerful because it reminds them that they are “not forgotten”
The VV Foundation works hard to push sustainable practices within food waste and is helping out Thailand while doing it!
